Andrew Binns
Managing Director
Andrew has been involved in the orthodontic materials industry since 1979. Originally from the banking and finance industry, Andrew became involved in orthodontics when he teamed up with his uncle who had just opened a dental supplies company in Sydney. He took over the helm in 1980 when the head office moved to Melbourne. His business philosophy revolves around delivering high levels of service, and having fun. He is a competitive sailor in the Couta Boat class.

Xiao Ju (Michelle) Zhang
P.A. to Mr. Binns
Xiao Ju left her previous role as a paraplanner in the financial planning industry and eventually found herself taking over as Mr. Binns’ P.A in March 2010. She is ABO’s resident personal development expert, supplier of beef jerkey and also loves dodgeball.

Matthew Grant
Key Account Manager AcceleDent
Matt has been a valued team member since June 2005, when he came to ABO from the pharmaceuticals industry. He has enormous reserves of energy and has been known to be in more than one place at the same time. He was a swimming champion in a previous life but now enjoys surfing, snowboarding and motorcross.
Matthew is instrumental in new market and product development at ABO.
Denise Huy
Finance Manager
Denise is ABO’s longest-serving team member with more than 35 years’ experience in accounts and administration and is therefore the administrative backbone of the company. She wishes she had an enviable golf handicap and one day hopes to become a fanatic, following the Aussie cricket team around the globe.

Lawrence Ku
Inventory Manager
Lawrence has worked across a variety of industries in the area of supply chain management, joining ABO in October 2011 Lawrence has been successful in assisting us to improve the links between our customers and our suppliers. Lawrence enjoys being physically active and loves playing both soccer and tennis, he is a fan of January in Melbourne believing it’s the best month to enjoy our wonderful city and the Australian Open Tennis.

Tiffany Butler
Territory Manager VIC/TAS
Tiffany originally joined ABO in May 2007 and, after a year spent travelling around the world, returned to the company. She now manages the Victorian and Tasmanian territories. Another convert to cycling, she is a devoted Demons fan and a force to be reckoned with in Supercoach.

Darryl Van Leerdam
Territory Manager NSW/ACT
Beginning his career as a secondary school Science teacher, Darryl has since transitioned through roles specifically focussed on training and professional development, eventually finding his way into sales. Joining ABO in the latter half of 2011 he brings to the role maturity and a desire to learn. He is an avid sports fan, however, prefers to watch from the comfort of his lounge room. In his spare time he likes to rock out on the bass with his band of brothers.

Rachel McLees
Internal & NZ Sales Consultant
Originally from Myrtleford, Rachel joined the ABO team in April 2011, having returned to Victoria after working as an orthodontic nurse in Townsville. She also spent several years working with a general dentist and has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. She loves the outdoors, especially snowboarding and bike riding, but wouldn’t complain about spending a good few hours shopping either!

Nicolle King
Internal & SA/WA Sales Consultant
Joining ABO in April 2011, Nicolle has spent the last few years working as head nurse at a large orthodontic practice in Frankston. Here she had the opportunity to attend national orthodontic conferences as well as completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. While her time on the Peninsula confirmed her love of the beach, she’s now embracing a more urban lifestyle which allows her to continue exploring Melbourne’s best restaurants and grow her addiction to great coffee and chocolate.

Isabel Matinez
Inventory Analyst
Isabel joined ABO in September 2011 after moving to Melbourne from Colombia. As an economist, she worked for four years at an insurance company in such diverse areas as marketing, treasury and collections. Now she is applying her considerable numerical skills and abilities to inventory and fiscal analysis. She loves warm weather and enjoys sunsets at the beach. She also loves Melbournians and the lifestyle which they embrace.

Deon joined the ABO team in December 2011, after completing her arts degree at the University of Melbourne. She enjoys teaching music and has worked in the field of arts administration. Deon has a love of music, cooking, her kitten and looking after the veggie garden at home.
