At the heart of Brava® braces is the Brava+ System, which is more than a variation on traditional braces and aligners. It’s a biomechanical breakthrough. Brava shares nothing in common with lingual orthodontic systems of the past that were limited by a single archwire sliding over uneven lingual tooth surfaces.
The Brava+ System uses Independent Movers® technology to direct tooth movement in all directions including torque from the first day of treatment. And Brava works 24 hours a day offering a hassle-free solution for hidden braces that works fast.
From the moment of insertion, each tooth is directed towards its final position using Brava’s pre-programmed flexible arms, which are made from NiTi shape-memory materials. The unique engineering of Brava moves teeth over long distances in all 6 degrees of freedom – all at once. Brava can also expand the arch to create space and can level the curve of Spee – all from the lingual side of the teeth.
Brava features a stabilising bar that rests 1mm above the soft tissue during treatment. This bar provides a stable platform from which all flexible, pre-programmed arms extend.
At the end of each flexible arm is a clasp designed to fit snugly into a rounded, self-engaging bracket. Once engaged, the arms gently and continuously guide tooth movement as programmed.
Predictable tooth movement begins with easy-to-use indirect bonding trays. IDB trays come pre-loaded with self-engaging brackets and can easily be modified to rebond brackets mid-treatment when needed.
